Boston Celtics edge Indiana Pacers in Game 3 of Eastern Conference Finals
Haliburton shines, but Pacers fall short
Celtics one win away from NBA Finals
Tyrese Haliburton poured in 33 points for the Indiana Pacers, but it wasn't enough to overcome a hot-shooting Boston Celtics team in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday night.
The Celtics opened up a 30-point lead in the first half and held on for a 112-104 victory, taking a 2-1 lead in the series. Jason Tatum led the way for Boston with 27 points, followed by Jaylen Brown with 23 and Al Horford with 18.
The Pacers were led by Haliburton's 33 points, but they struggled from the free-throw line, shooting just 9-of-11. The Celtics, meanwhile, made 20-of-27 from the charity stripe.
The Celtics are now just one win away from advancing to the NBA Finals. They will have a chance to close out the series in Game 4 on Friday night in Boston.
